This is the original production release BIOS v4.0.0.0 for the Adaptec 1045 and 1405. This archive includes the flash utility, the BIOS image file and the Readme file. The BIOS image file can be used to flash either the 1045 or the 1405 controller. Installation Instruction: Copy the expanded files to a floppy diskette, USB device or CD-R. Shut down the operating system and reboot to DOS from a bootable floppy disk, USB device or CD-R. Insert the media with the update files. Run the flash utility program named AFU.EXE included in this download to backup the current BIOS and flash the new BIOS image.
